Reading Challenge

Purpose: To encourage reading, help grow students as readers, and to encourage them to read books outside of their normal comfort zone (ie reading a new genre or higher level text)

 

 

Rules & Guidelines:

1. Books can not be rereads and they must have been checked out from JN Fries. 

2. Books must have been checked out and read between 8/24/2026-9/24/2026. 

3. You must complete the form in its entirety for credit by 9/24/2026 3:30pm.

4. No picture books will count. 

5. Each book will count as 1 point.  

6. 500+ page books will count as 3 points.

7. 700+ page books will count for 5 points.

8. If you read a teacher recommended book on the list here you can earn 2 points. 

9. You must READ the entire book before completing the google form.

Prizes:

  • Drawing every week winners announced on knightly news on Fridays come to the media center to claim their prize. The more books they read the more times their name is entered to win. 
  • Top Homerooms from each grade level (9/28-10/2)
    • 1st place: PJ for week/Snacks Party
    • 2nd place: Board Games
